Tilt Gesture

This API enables the user to register tilt events.

Basic Gestures

There are three basic gestures that will trigger an event with the Tilt API.

Tilt: Rotating the device in one direction by pivoting the device with the wrist or hand.

Flick: Rotating the device in one direction and then rotate in the opposite direction, without any pause in between, using the wrist or hand.

Swing: Rotating the device in one direction by pivoting the device using mostly the arm.

Any of the three basic gestures above can be combined to trigger a series of tilt events. For example we might want to horizontally tilt the device 4 times with pauses in between.

Vertical Tilt

Vertical tilts are registered when the device is pitched forward or backward using one of the gestures mentioned above.

Horizontal Tilt

Horizontal tilts are registered when the device is rolled or rotated laterally to the left or right using one of the gestures mentioned above.
